Vocalist/keyboard player Straker’s first band was formed in 1969, brilliantly called Stonehenge. Later he formed The Nick Straker Band with singer and songwriter Tony Mansfield, who went on, with other member’s of the Straker band, to form New Musik (Living By Numbers, World Of Water, Sanctuary).

A Walk In The Park was a huge continental hit in 1979 and was rerecorded for the uk in 1980, when it became a top 20 hit.

“Tank Girl: Skidmarks #1 (Titan Books):
I haven’t read a Tank Girl comic before, so I figured I’d start here. And this works pretty well as an introduction. I’m unsure about the surrounding situation. Why can people drive around in tanks? But I figured this is some kind of Mad-Max-on-crack situation. But then why is a young Dee Dee Ramone shown skateboarding? Maybe that is just a common name in the future? But other than those small questions, I really enjoyed this. It was as free spirited and out of control as I imagined this comic being.”
